The strategy and governance side of the story
Systems thinking and pattern recognition, applied to organizations instead of networks or rigging plots — team development, board governance, and operating models for mission-driven organizations.
Every stop before this one was practice for the same question: how does this system actually work, and what is the one change that removes friction for everyone in it? At Network to Code, that meant helping build and grow the company itself while fractionally delivering transformation for clients — building new teams from scratch, running detailed process and procedural analysis, designing new org structures, and driving teams to single-source-of-truth data, better data quality, and automated, AI-enabled operations for large enterprises, including one of the largest Fortune 100 global financial institutions.
That same discipline is what I bring to board governance and executive leadership: read the whole organization, find the real constraint, and design a structure and process that lets people do their best work without fighting the system to do it.

Membership organizations already make sense to me
Sailing, Scouting, and volunteer fire service all run on the same structure: a membership or crew, a governance layer, and a mission that only works if the operating model gets out of people’s way. I’ve lived inside that structure from more than one seat — as a crew member, an instructor, and a leader — which is part of why board governance and operating design for organizations like these is where I want to spend the next chapter.
